can't disable magic_quotes_gpc support

Description: ------------ i got a problem with mysql_real_escape_string because of this assignment: $myvar=mysql_real_escape_string($_POST['key']); the value in $_POST['key'] contains a string already escaped. I think it might be due to magic_quotes_gcp settings. the phpinfo() tells that magic_quotes_gpc is On for both master and local value. The php.ini.default has the following settings: ; magic_quotes_gpc ; Default Value: On ; Development Value: Off ; Production Value: Off magic_quotes_gpc = Off magic_quotes_runtime = Off magic_quotes_sybase = Off
