WORM_LOVGATE.GEN

This is Trend Micro’s generic detection for WORM_LOVGATE variants.

Variants of this malware are known to propagate via any of the following routines:

1. Dropping copies of itself on network shares or through KaZaA, a popular peer-to-peer (p2p) file-sharing application.
2. Using Messaging Applicaton Programming Interface (MAPI) or Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) engine

It may also terminate certain processes and create archived files on the infected machine.
