TROJ_STRAT.JD

This Trojan arrives as attachment to email messages spammed by another malware or a malicious user.

Upon execution, it accesses a certain URL to download a file which Trend Micro detects as TROJ_STRAT.JH. As a result, routines of the downloaded Trojan are also exhibited on the system.

This Trojan then displays the following fake error message to trick users into thinking that the program failed to execute:

Moreover, this Trojan uses the Notepad icon in an attempt to trick affected users into thinking that the file is not malicious.
